Art is Ageless wins creativity award

Winning submissions to juried art competitions exclusively for people age 65 and older are displayed in the ever-popular Art is Ageless calendar.

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s 2018 Art is Ageless® calendar won a gold award from the Hermes Creative Awards competition.

The Hermes Creative Awards competition is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The awards recognize the outstanding work of creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. Nearly 6,000 entries were judged in the international competition.

A direct mail invitation to an Historic Olathe Trolley Tour, created for the Aberdeen Village campus in Olathe, Kan., received honorable mention.

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America wins marketing awards

Winning submissions to juried art competitions exclusively for people age 65 and older are displayed in the ever-popular Art is Ageless calendar.

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s 2018 Art is Ageless® calendar won a gold award from the Healthcare Advertising Awards. The 35th annual competition is administered by Healthcare Marketing Report.

More than 4,000 entries were received in the competition, making the awards the largest healthcare advertising awards competition and one of the 10 largest of all advertising awards. A national panel of judges were engaged to review all entries based on creativity, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact. Gold awards were given to 360 entries. read more

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America commercial wins award in international marketing competition

AVA Digital Awards recently announced Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA) received an award for outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in concept, direction, design and production of media that is part of the evolution of digital communication.

Winners were selected from more than 200 categories in Audio, Video, and Web-based production.

Five19 Creative, the advertising agency engaged by PMMA, received a gold award in the Video Production category for the 30-second commercial “Practically Unexpected” produced for Aberdeen Village. The commercial was shot and produced by the Richmond, Va.,-based company. read more

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America recognized all 17 of its Kansas and Missouri campuses for reaching goals in fiscal year 2017, July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017, during a celebration Nov. 30 at the Broadview Hotel in Wichita, Kan.

The recognitions came through PMMA’s new Emerald Awards Program, designed to encourage its 17 locations and 2 hospices to achieve high levels of resident and employee satisfaction, meet financial goals, build philanthropic support for the organization’s mission and meet marketing goals. There are 11 areas measured for community Emerald Awards and 10 areas measured for hospice Emerald Awards. read more

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America wins web awards

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s recently launched Facebook page for Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor and a video produced for Aberdeen Village recently received recognition from the Digital Health Awards for fall 2017.

The campus Facebook page allows Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor to highlight the lifestyle on the campus in a more immediate way than the campus website can. The page features a mix of real-time posts and content curated from other senior living resources. All 17 PMMA campuses have a presence on Facebook. read more

Radatz named to regional operations team

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA) has announced the appointment of Bradley “Brad” Radatz, executive director at Salina Presbyterian Manor, to the role of full-time regional director of operations.

Radatz has been splitting time between Salina Presbyterian Manor and a regional operations role since October 2015. He most recently has served as interim executive director at Wichita Presbyterian Manor.

“Brad has a wealth of administrative experience,” said Bill Taylor, PMMA’s chief operating officer. “We are excited to bring him full-time to our team of regional operations directors.” read more

8 Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America communities on U.S. News and World Report Best Nursing Homes 2017-18 list

Eight Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America senior living communities are on the U.S. News and World Report Best Nursing Homes 2017-18 list. The communities received the highest score of a five-star rating system to make the list, available today at

PMMA locations on the honoree list with five-star ratings are:

Inclusion on the list is confirmation of the campuses’ commitment to PMMA’s mission to provide quality senior services guided by Christian values.

The U.S. News and Report list uses information from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the government agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes. CMS assigns one to five stars to each community for how well it performs in health inspections, nurse staffing and level of quality care. read more

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America wins five awards in international marketing competition

The 2017 Art is Ageless® Calendar features artwork from PMMA’s Art is Ageless competition.

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA) recently received five honors from MarCom Awards. The international competition recognizes marketing and communications achievements for print, visual and audio materials.

PMMA received a platinum award, the highest award, in the Print Media/Publications/Internal Newsletter category for the company’s employee newsletter. The 2017 Art is Ageless® Calendar and the Salina Presbyterian Manor Facebook page both received gold awards. This is the fourth consecutive year the calendar has placed in the top three in the competition. read more

LeadingAge Kansas has selected 13 professionals in the field of aging services for the 9th class of the Center for Leadership. The program equips talented aging services professionals to positively influence the future of aging services in Kansas. The 2018 class includes Maegen Pegues with Parsons Presbyterian Manor and Brad Radatz with Salina Presbyterian Manor.

“Our goal is to grow our own leaders in Kansas”, states Dana Weaver, chief operating officer for LeadingAge Kansas, “The program will provide the opportunity for these individuals to hone their leadership skills within their own organizations as well as influence the field on a macro level.” read more

Art is Ageless began in 1981 when resident art was featured in a calendar.  Knowing how a creative outlet can benefit the mind, body and spirit is just one reason that in 2006 PMMA opened its Art is Ageless competition to all seniors in the area.
