Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America receives award

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s 2016 Art is Ageless calendar was recently named a Silver Winner in the SIAAwards (Service Industry Advertising Awards). In addition, the brochure for Heart & Soul Hospice was named a Merit Winner.

Art is Ageless is a trademarked program of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, a faith-based not-for-profit organization with 17 retirement communities in Kansas and Missouri. Each community holds a juried art competition exclusively for people age 65 and older. Winning art may be chosen to appear in a calendar or note cards. Periodic programs and classes are held throughout the year to encourage seniors to express their creativity.

The 2016 Art is Ageless® Calendar features artwork from PMMA’s Art is Ageless competition, which is open exclusively to people age 65 and older. The website is at ArtIsAgeless.org.

Heart & Soul Hospice is an extension of PMMA’s services to seniors in Kansas and Missouri. Heart & Soul Hospice serves a 50-mile radius around Wichita, Kan., and Farmington, Mo., and the surrounding area.

SIAAwards, started in 2003, is the only advertising awards to specifically recognize advertising achievements in the service industry. There are 26 categories judged.

More than 1,900 entries were received for this year’s competition from more than 600 advertising agencies and 800 institutions. A national panel of judges evaluated and rated entries in eight groups and twenty-six categories. The judges awarded 145 Gold Awards, 102 Silver Awards, as well as 74 Bronze Awards.

SIAAwards recognizes the creativity and communication accomplishments of the service industry, recognizing the best service industry advertisement, print communications, websites, TV Radio and electronic communications, and social media.

PMMA began in Newton, Kan., 1949 and now has 17 senior living communities in Kansas and Missouri.
